Rising Pune Supergiants (RPS) is a new team in Indian Premier League (IPL) that was introduced in 2016 and this the 2nd year of team in IPL . This is a another team from Maharashtra which is playing in Indian Premier League (IPL). The team belongs to Pune, Maharashtra. Earlier this team was Pune Warriors India (PWI). The team is having captaincy of Captain Cool Mahendra Singh Dhoni and coached by former captain of New Zealand or Black Caps Stephen Fleming.
This team is a replacement of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Rajasthan Royals (RR). The team is owned by Chairman of RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group Mr. Sanjiv Goenka. The team is from Pune, the city of knowledge, the city of many Maratha Rulers, the city of Colleges and ancient places. The brand value of team is $86 million. As this is new team therefore the homeground of this team is in Pune .
